Helicopter Museum at Ramona Airport
We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Ramona Airport to tour the Helicopter Museum. Some of the women, who are not interested in helicopters, will meet at 9:45 in Ramona to visit the shops on main street. We will all gather in Ramona at noon for lunch.
Garage belonging to Jared Anderson's father.
The father of member Jared Anderson has a garage with two lifts in Julian. We will meet there at 10:00 AM for a demonstration of how to change disk brake rotors and pads on new Giulias. Bring a picnic lunch and folding chairs. After the demonstration, we will have lunch on the grassy area next to the garage.
Secret Car Club, Cielo Village Shopping Center
We will meet at the Secret Car Club for a cars and coffee. Then we will caravan over some interesting back roads to the Miniature Craftmanship Museum, 3190 Lionshead Ave, Carlsbad, 92010. Afterwards, most of us will go to a local restaurant for lunch.
Shelter Island Picnic Area, opposite to the best Western Plus Hotel
Meet in the picnic area opposite to the Best Western Plus Hotel. Dave Krekorian will have parking spaces roped off for our Alfas. Meet at 9:30 AM. The club will provide hot dogs and buns. If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a salad. M-Z bring a side dish. Also, bring folding chairs, small tables and your adult beverages.
The club will furnish Brats and water. If your last name begins A-M, please bring an appetizer or a salad; N-Z, a side dish or desert. Also, bring your favorite adult beverage. In addition, bring any Alfa memorabilia, clothing and car parts that you are willing to donate to the club for the auction. We have had some complaints that, in the past, we have not had enough items of interest to women. So, please try to think of items you can donate that will let the ladies participate in the auction fun. This is our one money raising event of the year, so please donate generously.
Vista Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum
AROSC has invited us to meet with them at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista. This is a great event for kids. There is a blacksmithing demonstration, a narrow gage railroad to ride and a large room filled with model trains. Food is available for purchase. Admission Adults $5, kids $3, under five free.
This is a very large car show. Normally there are about 100 Alfas. AROSC comes out in force. Jay leno normally shows up in the afternoon. Food trucks are available with hot dogs, burgers and brats. AROSC usually invites us to bring food to add to their appetizer spread. A prize is given for the people‘s choice Alfa. The cost is $25/car. Register at http://www.franceanditaly.com/register.php
: Annual Holiday Party. As always, it is semi-potluck. The club will provide the main course, ham and dinner rolls. If your name begins with A-M, please bring a salad or an appetizer, N-Z a side dish. Everyone please bring a dozen of your favorite holiday cookies or dessert. Also, please bring your beverages of choice. The gift exchange/steal will take place after dinner.
